Athlete’s Foot (or tinea pedis, fungal foot infection) is a transmittable disease caused by a fungal infection growing between the toes. These are parasites that can be very hard to get rid of. It also oozes out an unpleasant smell. It lives on dry dead skin and thrives on warm and moist places. Here are some quick home remedies that you can do to help remove this foot problem.

Home remedies for Athlete’s Foot

* Soak your feet in a tub of warm water with one part vinegar every morning and every night for thirty minutes. This can kill the fungi.
* Regularly apply baking soda paste. You just combine baking soda powder in a bit of water until it has a paste like consistency. Apply it to the problem area. Let it dry. Rinse well. Repeat this twice a day.
* Put forty drops of tea tree oil in one litter of water. Soak your feet for ten minutes and dry well, giving special attention in between the toes. Now apply a couple of drops of tea tree oil on the affected area.
* Generously put cornstarch powder on your feet every morning before putting on socks and every night before sleeping.
* Crush a clove of garlic to make a paste out of it. Apply it to your toes every morning before leaving. Let it stay there inside your socks until you come home. Rinse well.
