Cold Sores (or Aphthous Ulcers, canker sores) are fever blisters that are often contracted due to herpes. It can be transmitted through kissing, sharing razors, utensils, and towels. It can pretty grow wherever in the body but the most common areas are on the gums, mouth, and face. Here are some home remedies that you can do to alleviate this condition immediately.

Home remedies for Cold Sores

* Boil a couple of sweet fern leaves in water for ten minutes. Let it cool down. Strain and rinse the affected area with this solution three times a day.
* Generously put garlic oil on the sores twice a day.
* Mix regular oatmeal with warm water. Make it into a paste. Apply it to the infected area twice a day.
* Prepare baking soda paste and apply this to the sores. Leave it be until it dries. Wash thoroughly. Repeat this process twice a day, for a week.
* Gently rub the affected area with aloe vera leaf three times a day.
