Headaches

Headaches are the most common malady that many people experience today. It can be something minor or it could be a symptom of a much serious disease. On the other hand, a headache is symptomatic of many illnesses including many of the more severe infections, poisoning, excess blood pressure, teeth infections and anxiety.

Home remedies for Headaches

• Eat between 10 – 12 almonds. This is the equivalent of two aspirin.
• Place cold compresses on your forehead and, at the same time, soak your feet in warm water.
• Place slices of potato on your forehead and tie it in a handkerchief. Lie down for about half an hour.
• Soak a strip of cloth in arrack, tie it around your forehead, and lie down with your eyes closed, in the dark, for half an hour.
• Make a sandalwood paste by adding stirring in a bit of water in sandalwood powder until it has a paste-like consistency. Apply this to your forehead for instant relief.
• Add a bit of water in ginger powder to create a paste. Put this on your forehead.
• Breathe in the steam of boiling water mixed with eucalyptus or camphor.
• Crush four cloves of garlic and make it into a paste. Massage this into your forehead.
• Gently massage your forehead. Focus on your fingertips. Make sure you apply pressure on your temples, in between y our eyes, and on your scalp.
• Lie down and relax for a couple of minutes.
• Combine powdered lemon zest in water to make a paste. Apply this to forehead.
