Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids (or piles as they as commonly known) are painful contractions of the blood vessels in the rectum. For the most part, they manifest themselves with traces of glittering blood in the fecal matter, on the toilet paper and/or the toilet bowl.

Home remedies for Hemorrhoids

• Hemorrhoids are prevalent in industrialized countries and in most people they begin to develop in their early 20’s. However, the symptoms are not clear until a person reaches their 40’s. According to various estimations, about 50% of people above 50 suffer from symptomatic hemorrhoids.
• To ease the pain, make a puree made from fresh carrots or beets and place in the refrigerator for a few hours. Strain the juice and place the pureed vegetable in a cloth diaper. Lace the diaper with this cold solution on the painful area. Relief should be felt immediately and the swelling should disappear afterwards.
• Extract some radish juice and combine it with honey. Generously spread this solution on the affected area twice a day.
• Put some coconut oil on the area before sleeping.
• Dry some ripe mango seeds under the sun. Grind them into fine powder. Drink two grams with honey every morning and every night.
• Combine a tablespoon of roasted cumin seeds and raw cumin seeds. Grind it into powder and mix it in a glass of water. Drink this twice a day.
• Soak a cup of pomegranate zest in water overnight. Boil this the next morning and let it simmer for ten minutes. Drink this solution before breakfast and before going to sleep.
• Drink one glass of buttermilk twice a day.
