Poison Ivy (or Rhus Dermatitis) is a type of plant that can extremely irritate the skin when put into contact. Its leaves are hairy with up to seven protruding lobes. This is not contagious however, the person who has been in contact with these leaves can cause a lot of itching, swelling, redness, and blisters. Here are some ways to bring soothing relief, just follow these home remedies.

Home remedies for Poison Ivy

* Boil a couple of sweet fern leaves in water for ten minutes. Let it cool down. Strain and rinse the affected area with this solution three times a day.
* Generously put garlic oil on the rashes twice a day to immediately heal the infection and blisters.
* Mix regular oatmeal with warm water. Make it into a paste. Apply it to the infected area with a clean wet cloth twice a day, for three days.
* Prepare baking soda paste and apply this to the skin rashes. Leave it be until it dries. Wash thoroughly. Repeat this process twice a day, for a week.
* Gently rub the affected area with aloe vera leaf three times a day.
