Sties are an eye infection that usually occur on the eyelids or any of the outer part of the eye. It looks like a red blister that can be extremely itchy and painful. This is caused by bacteria found in the nose. Here are some great home remedies that you can do to cure this ailment.

Home remedies for Sties

• Take a large clove of garlic and cut it in half. Place the cut side on the sty, above the eyelid. Leave it there for a ten minutes. After a few hours, repeat the treatment using the other half of the garlic clove after first scraping of the top layer to ensure a fresh surface.
• Put a tea bag in half a cup of boiling water to make a concentrated solution. Wait until it’s tepid and then soak some cotton in the liquid and place it on the eye.
• Prepare a teaspoon of coriander seeds. Boil it in water for ten minutes. Drink a cup of this tea three times a day.
• Wash your eyes with three granules of alum mixed in a cup of water.
• Boil extracts of acacia leaves in two cups of water. Apply it to your eyes as a compress twice a day.
• Boil a teaspoon of turmeric in a cup of water. Soak a cotton ball and place it over your eyes for a couple of minutes. Repeat three times a day.
• Warm some guava leaves and place it over your eyes to reduce the swelling.
