Green Tea

Green tea is made solely with the leaves of Camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Over the last few decades green tea has been subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the extent of its long-purported health benefits, with some evidence suggesting that regular green tea drinkers have lower chances of heart disease and of developing certain types of cancer. Although green tea does not raise the metabolic rate enough to produce immediate weight loss. Green tea contains salubrious polyphenols, particularly catechins, the most abundant of which is epigallocatechin gallate. Green tea also contains carotenoids, tocopherols, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), minerals such as chromium, manganese, selenium or zinc, and certain phytochemical compounds. It is a more potent antioxidant than black tea. Green tea can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, dental cavities, kidney stones, and cancer, while improving bone density and cognitive function.

  • Combine 1 tbsp. of green tea powder, white tea powder and chamomile extract. Slowly pour a small amount of all-natural honey into the mixture, stirring as you pour. Add just enough honey to form a thick paste. Apply the entire mask to your freshly washed face, being careful to avoid your eyes and mouth. Leave the mask on for 20 to 30 minutes, then rinse it off with cool water and pat dry.
  • Pour 1 1/2 cups of hot (not boiling) distilled water over 4 tbsp. of Matcha green tea powder. Stir it well, and set it aside to cool. While your tea is cooling, combine 2 tbsp. each shea butter and shredded beeswax, and 1/2 cup each olive oil and coconut oil in a saucepan. Stir the mixture over low heat until it is melted, pour it into your blender, and let it fully cool. Blend it on high speed as you slowly add the Matcha green tea. When the mixture is thick and thoroughly combined, you will have a thick cream. Apply on the skin.
  • Melt 1 oz. of beeswax in your microwave. Remove it promptly, and stir in 1/2 cup walnut, almond or olive oil. Add 1/4 cup green tea powder. Mix well, and microwave for 30 seconds. Remove it promptly, stir well and set it aside to cool. Once your lip balm is fully cooled, you can scoop it into your container.
  • Put two teaspoons of green tea powder in a cup of hot water. Stir and drink this tea twice a day.
