Clogged Nosec

A clogged nose is often caused by congested sinus and/or nasal passages resulting to an unfavorable experience that includes difficulties in breathing through the nose, sniffles, headaches, runny nose, and a slight fever. Here are some great known remedies that you can quickly do at home.

Home remedies for Clogged Nose

• Mix half a tablespoon of salt in half cup of water. Wrap a tooth pick with cotton, dip it in the solution, and smear it inside your nostrils. Make sure you use a separate clean toothpick for each nostril.
• Prepare a solution of a teaspoon of salt and a cup of boiling water. Place the liquid in a sterile container. Using a dropper, place a few drops of the solution in each nostril until you taste the saltiness in your throat. Wash your mouth and throat to get rid of the saltiness.
• Half fill a large pan with water and bring it to a boil. Remove from the heat and add half a glass of arrack. Bring you face close to the liquid and place you nose as close to the water as you can, without touching it. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the fumes for at least for 15 minutes. Repeat this process every morning and evening until the catarrh disappears.
• Spicy food is a great decongestant so make sure you eat a lot of peppers and chillis to get your nose flowing.
• Combine some lemon juice, Tulsi, and ginger juice in equal amount. Add a tablespoon of honey. Mix thoroughly. Eat this solution twice a day until your nose clears.
• Put a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil in boiling water. Deeply inhale the steam for fifteen to thirty minutes before going to sleep.
• Drink lots of warm water and fresh citrus juices to keep your sinus moist and hydrated.
• Crush a couple of menthol leaves and inhale it all throughout the day.
• Put a warm compress on your face to alleviate your clogged nose.
