The bladder (the urinary bladder) is a sack like, muscular organ that stores the urine after it has been filtered through the kidneys.  The urine arrives at the bladder via the urethra.  Release of the urine is controlled by a sphincter close to the urethra.  The bladder is surrounded by many longitudinal muscles’ that are responsible for the release of urine by the application of positive feedback.  In other words, one contraction causes another contraction so that the muscles’ continuously contract until the successful completion of the action.

Home Remedies for infections of the bladder:
• Add two tablespoons of cinnamon and a teaspoon of honey to a cup of warm water – mix well and drink a number of times a day.
• Drinking a glass of acidic juice once a day prevents and cures infections.
• Drink three cups of tea prepared from fennel leaves and sweetened with honey each day.
• To increase the flow of urine – eat lots of parsley.

• Boil three onions in five glasses of water for 20 minutes – drink two glasses, 3 – 4 sips at a time.
